Paradise Lost - Backdrops, art passes and art direction.

I did art direction for this game, which involved setting up and planning the areas of the game, then following up with art passes across the levels plus the creation of matte paintings for the backdrops + postprocess and lighting work.

Here's a fun insight to the sorta work an AD does with an art pass, it involves lighting, framing, a bit extra asset placement and mood setting. There was a lot of already perfectly made sets handed over from the kickass team, but sometimes they just needed more omph!

2 separate versions of the Bunker exit. I made this scene pretty much from scratch and was happy to see it used for the Key Art of the game.

3 Versions of the home shelter. (sadly hardly visible in the final result.)

Did the mattepaintings used to for the sky sphere and set up post processes and added the extra elements needed to bring it all together.
